NJ.org is documenting the struggles of entrepreneurs and business incubators/accelerators. This ongoing series aims to help up and coming entrepreneurs discover what they need to do and become in order to achieve their dreams.
There are two tri-state entrepreneurial hatching grounds that will be reviewed: the Enterprise Development Center (EDC) business incubator at New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) and the Entrepreneurs Roundtable Accelerator (ERA) in NYC.
The EDC at NJIT is home to nearly 86 high-tech and life-science companies. Located on the campus of the NJIT, EDC companies have access to NJIT facilities and can partner with researchers to help grow their business. EDC is in the heart of Newark’s University Heights Science Park and the Newark Innovation Zone.
